What Are Food and Beverage Rewards?
Food and beverage rewards are fixed value credits that we apply to eligible dining and drink charges posted to our room bill at most hotels and resorts in this group. Eligibility can vary by property, but it usually includes on site restaurant dining, in room dining, minibar food and drink items, customary gratuities tied to those purchases, and some applicable taxes.
You typically cannot use these credits for vending machines or gift shop items, third party outside food deliveries, restaurants that do not allow charges to a guest room bill, and taxes that are specifically associated with minibar charges if the property excludes them.
How to Earn Food and Beverage Rewards
We earn these dining credits through Milestone Rewards that arrive every 10 elite qualifying nights each year, starting at 20 nights and continuing through 100 nights. Nights from city hotels, resorts, and extended stay properties within the group all count toward these thresholds.
Milestone reward options and amounts currently published by the loyalty program include:
- 20 nights: 5,000 bonus points, two $20 food and beverage rewards, or one confirmable suite upgrade
- 30 nights: 5,000 bonus points or two $20 food and beverage rewards
- 40 nights, choose two: 10,000 bonus points, five $20 food and beverage rewards, one confirmable suite upgrade, limit one, or one annual lounge membership
- 50 nights: 10,000 bonus points or five $20 food and beverage rewards
- 60 nights: 10,000 bonus points or five $20 food and beverage rewards
- 70 nights, choose two: 10,000 bonus points, five $20 food and beverage rewards, two confirmable suite upgrades, limit one, or one annual lounge membership
- 80 nights: 10,000 bonus points or five $20 food and beverage rewards
- 90 nights: 10,000 bonus points or five $20 food and beverage rewards
- 100 nights: 10,000 bonus points or five $20 food and beverage rewards
We can select dining credits at every milestone. Note that each reward expires 12 months after we select it.
The program issues these credits in different currencies based on our country of residence. For example, members in the United States receive $20 and members in Canada receive 25 Canadian dollars. If our country does not use one of the supported currencies, the reward is issued in U.S. dollars.
Independent third-party valuations as of September 2025 generally estimate this loyalty program’s points at around 0.5 cents each. Using that baseline, a $20 dining credit often provides more obvious near term value than 5,000 to 10,000 points at the same milestone. Still, a confirmable suite upgrade or an annual lounge membership could be more valuable depending on our plans. Valuations are estimates, so choose based on your itinerary.
How to Use Food and Beverage Rewards
We can redeem these credits while we are checked in at most brands within the hotel group. Primary exclusions commonly include on base lodging brands affiliated with the group, select ultra luxury properties where policies differ, certain beachfront resort affiliates, and alliance locations in Macau.
If you redeem a credit at a property that uses a different currency than the one shown on your reward, the loyalty program typically converts the value to the hotel’s local currency at the time of use.
If we apply a credit for less than its face value, for example using a $20 credit against $15 of eligible charges, the unused portion is forfeited. These credits are single use and do not carry a remaining balance after redemption.
Step by Step Redemption Using the App or Website
- Sign in to the program’s mobile app or website.
- On the account homepage, open the section labeled Enjoy Your Rewards and select the tile for stay rewards and upgrades.
- Under Rewards to Enhance Your Stay, find a food and beverage reward and select Redeem.
- Choose your current eligible stay, the reservation you are checked into, and continue.
- Review the screen that shows the credit amount, the eligible dining and beverage charges, and the remaining balance after the credit.
- Read the reminders and confirm with Yes, Apply This Credit to My Bill.
- Acknowledge that each reward is one time use and select Yes, Redeem This Reward.
- A confirmation screen will show that the credit has been added to your room bill.

Important: Apply dining credits before checkout. Once the folio is closed, the system usually cannot add rewards retroactively.

- Always charge to the room. Ask outlets to post dining to your room bill. The credit will not attach to cash or card payments made at the venue.
- Keep receipts. If a charge has not appeared, receipts help the front desk reconcile before you finalize checkout.
- Check outlet eligibility. Some venues operated by third parties may not allow room charge posting even if they are on site.
