IHG One Rewards has launched its latest global offer for 2025, and registration is now open. If you’re planning any hotel stays this summer, this is a good chance to earn more from what you already intend to book.

We’re keeping our focus on helping you get the most out of it. The sooner you register, the better. That way, every qualifying stay you make during the promo period will count. Whether you’ve got a quick city break in mind or a long trip coming up, this offer can help boost your points without changing your plans.

We’ll break down what’s involved, how it works, and how you can take advantage of it. It all starts with registering, which is now available to everyone.

Your Summer Travel Just Got Better with IHG One Rewards

This summer, IHG One Rewards is giving you control over how you earn. With the 2025 Pick Your Points promo, you can choose between two bonus point tracks. One option earns you 2,000 points after every two nights. The other brings in 8,000 points after every four.

Before you decide, let’s make sure you know what to expect.

#1. You’ll need to register before your first qualifying stay. Once you lock in your choice, it can’t be changed, so choose the one that fits your travel style.

#2. The offer runs from May 20 through August 31, 2025. There’s no deadline to book, but your stays must fall within this time. Just make sure you’re registered before you check in.

#3. Only paid nights booked straight through IHG count toward the bonus, and each one needs to cost at least $30. Stays booked with points won’t qualify.

#4. There’s no limit to how many bonus points you can earn. Your total is based on how many nights you stay in total, and they don’t need to be back-to-back.

#5. After each eligible stay, your points should show up in your account within six weeks.

Is This IHG Summer Promo Worth It for You

Let’s look at what kind of value you might get out of this promo. Normally, when you stay at IHG hotels, you earn points based on how much you spend. Most brands give you 10 points for every dollar. At Candlewood Suites and Staybridge Suites, it’s cut in half to 5 points per dollar.

Your member tier adds more. Silver gets a 20 percent boost, Gold adds 40 percent, Platinum pushes that to 60 percent, and Diamond doubles your base points. On top of that, if you use an IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card or the IHG One Rewards Premier Business Credit Card, you’ll pull in another 10 points per dollar.

Now, layer this promotion on top. You either earn 2,000 bonus points after two nights or 8,000 after four. That comes out to either 1,000 or 2,000 extra points for each night, depending on which path you choose. If we look at the value of IHG points being around half a cent each, that bonus is like getting an extra $5 to $10 back per night, once you hit the threshold.

It won’t turn your head on its own, but it’s a nice little bump for nights you already had in mind. If you know you’ll be staying at least four nights during the promo window, the 8,000-point option gives you more back for your time.

IHG’s Summer Offer Is Easy to Join but Modest in Value

Registration is now open for IHG One Rewards‘ summer 2025 promo, and it gives you two ways to pick up bonus points on your stays. Once you sign up, you can either collect 2,000 points after every two nights or go for 8,000 points after four. If you’re planning to stay four nights or more during the promo period, the higher-point option clearly gives you more in return.

Still, we’re talking about an extra 1,000 to 2,000 points per night, which comes out to around five to ten dollars in value each night. It’s a nice bonus if you’re already staying with IHG, but not quite enough to move your whole trip around just to take part.
